ByrneWallace has appointed two new property partners – Michelle McVeigh and Neil Dunne.
McVeigh acts for a wide range of clients across a broad spectrum of commercial property transactions and has specialist expertise in the retail sector.
She advises on numerous shopping centre and retail schemes, from acquisition and disposal to asset management and leasing.
Neil Dunne has particular expertise advising on the residential development, social housing and industrial/logistics sectors.
Neil’s clients include international and domestic developers and investors, as well as a number of approved housing bodies and charities.
Managing partner Feargal Brennan says that the appointments reflect the firm's continued growth, while head of property Michael Walsh adds that the firm now has more than 40 lawyers in its property group.
“2018 was our busiest year in a decade,” said Brennan, “as the property market has returned to full flight, and we have capitalised on that significant demand for our expert legal advice across all sectors of the property industry.”
Walsh commented that while the retail and office investment market has been somewhat subdued, the firm has been very active in the industrial sector, and in the student-housing and PRS sectors, with a number of big-ticket forward sale and forward fund deals.
There is also a high level of activity on nursing homes and primary-care centres.
