In a historic first for the city, the Supreme Court will visit Galway from 4-6 March.
The Court will hear two cases while sitting in the Aula Maxima, NUI Galway.
The first is an appeal against the decision of An Bord Pleanála to approve the first phase of an €850 million Apple data centre in Athenry.
Apple is not going ahead with the project but the Supreme Court decision may give weight to future data centre applications before An Bord Pleanála.

The Supreme Court will also give seminars for Galway students on Tuesday 5 March.
NUI Galway, together with the Galway Solicitors Bar Association (GSBA), will host a dinner on 4 March, 2019 in the Ardilaun Hotel.
Chief Justice
This will include a CPD seminar to be given by Chief Justice Frank Clarke
