The Master of the High Court Edmund Honohan will no longer hear debt cases, it was reported today.
The instruction was issued by Mr Justice Peter Kelly.
Practice direction
The practice direction says that, from 4 February, all motions seeking liberty to enter a final judgment in summary summons proceedings will be set down for hearing before a judge of the High Court, rather than a Master of the High Court.
Until now, Mr Honohan has dealt with judgments for uncontested cases.
