The Legal Aid Board is offering a simple step-by-step user guide to aid the rollout of its secure communication system.
Secure email is available to all solicitors using or delivering the board’s services.
Donal Reddington (director of corporate services) says the beefed-up system is intended to copper-fasten confidentiality around individual cases.
The secure communication system also operates for solicitors on the board’s private practitioner panels, as well as for private solicitors, where, for example, one party in a family law case is represented by the Legal Aid Board, and the other is represented by a private solicitor. Instructions
In response to user feedback, the board has also uploaded step-by-step instruction videos to facilitate easy use of the system.
The online material explains the registration process for secure email correspondence.
