Diploma Centre Covid-19 support measures

Arising from the current Covid-19 crisis, the Law Society’s Diploma Centre has launched a suite of initiatives to support solicitors and their practices in their continued professional development. Our measures are as follows:

All courses online

Our autumn 2020 programme will be delivered online with live interactive lectures and workshops. All sessions are available on playback and podcast to provide for flexible learning. We will continue to follow public health advice on Covid-19 and hope to invite students and lecturers back onsite as soon as it is safe to do so.

eCPD limit removed

Solicitors are now permitted to obtain their required 20 hours of CPD online for the 2020 CPD cycle (pursuant to the recent change in the CPD requirements – for more information, please see www.lawsociety.ie/cpdscheme).

Discounts

The Diploma Centre has introduced discounts on its 2020 certificate and diploma courses to assist solicitors* at this time.

  • Any unemployed solicitor (including retired solicitors) may now avail of a 35% discount on course fees.
  • Solicitors who are working short-time/reduced hours may avail of a 25% discount.

For a full list of upcoming courses, please see www.lawsociety.ie/diplomas.

*Solicitor means a solicitor who is a member of the Law Society of Ireland

Note:  No discounts apply to the masters or doctorate programmes. The 25% and 35% discount applies to certificate and diploma courses in our Spring 2020 and Autumn 2020 portfolio only.

Stay safe and well
