The CJEU is seeking to recruit multilingual lawyers and law graduates.

Competition for lawyer-linguists

From 1 January 2022, the case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) will be made available in Irish. The Court is therefore seeking suitably skilled candidates to come and work in a new Irish language unit.

The competition for lawyer-linguists will be open to solicitors and graduates of law who are proficient in Irish and who have a good knowledge of two other official languages of the European Union, one to be chosen from the most frequently used languages before the Court.

Application process

Applications for Irish language lawyer-linguists open on 26 October 2017 and close at 12:00 (Brussels time) on 28 November 2017.
