The Law Society is inviting applications for both mentors and mentees for this year’s Women in Leadership mentoring programme.

Women in Leadership

The Law Society is inviting applications for both mentors and mentees on a countrywide basis and from all areas of practice for this year’s Women in Leadership mentoring programme.

The progamme is presented in collaboration with Law Society Finuas Skillnet who are responsible for the mentor and mentee training activities.

The programme aims to empower and support women in advancing their careers to a senior level. As a mentee, it could be that you have concerns about how to progress to your next role, want help to develop a new skill that you find difficult, or simply want some guidance through these turbulent times. As a mentor, passing on your experience and knowledge can be very rewarding and is a great way to give back to others in the legal profession.

Matching of mentors and mentees takes place during July. Training in best-practice techniques takes place in September and mentoring relationships run from October 2021 to May 2022. Once matched, mentoring partners generally commit to meeting once a month over the course of the programme
