About the Stage International a Paris

Every year the Paris Bar organises an International Stage in Paris and invites a limited number of lawyers from each jurisdiction to participate. The stage is a fantastic opportunity for lawyers to discover and practice French law in the heart of Paris.

The stage takes place during the months of October and November, with one month attending classes at the l’Ecole de Formation du Barreau and one month of work experience in a Paris law firm. The programme also includes a visit to the European Institutions in Brussels.

2019 applications

The Irish participant will be selected by the EU & International Affairs Committee of the Law Society of Ireland. Candidates must:

• Be qualified in Ireland and registered in the Law Society.
• Have a good knowledge of French.
• Be under 40 years old.
• Have insurance cover (for accidents and damages).

Tuition is fully covered by the Paris Bar, while the Committee will sponsor the participant with €2,500. Candidates must be willing to cover other expenses such as travel, accommodation, and meals.
