Find a Garda Station Solicitor

The Law Society maintains a directory of solicitors available to attend at Garda Stations to provide legal advice and attend interviews.

Gardaí can print a current, randomised list of available solicitors for their division on the day an individual is detained (in circumstances when that detainee does not nominate their own solicitor).

The Society has recently added a section of the directory to cover individuals detained under a European Arrest Warrant (EAW).

Criminal Law annual conference

The Criminal Law Update on 29 September 2017 will discuss practical issues when providing legal services to detainees, and invite feedback to inform the second edition of guidance for providing legal services in Garda stations.
