Solicitors wishing to have their name retained on the Criminal Legal Aid Panel beyond 30 November 2020, for the year commencing 1 December 2020, must submit an eTC to the relevant County Registrar after 30 November 2020 but before 31 December 2020. A printed eTC dated after 30 November 2020 should be forwarded to the relevant County Registrar(s)/Office Manager(s) for verification.

In order to remain on the panel in 2021, a solicitor must submit their eTC to the Court Office after 30 November 2020. The Department of Justice has advised that:

“if a solicitor does not forward their printed e-TC dated after 30 November 2020 to the relevant County Registrar(s)/Officer Manager(s), their name will be removed from the Criminal Legal Aid Panel(s) with effect from 1 January 2021.”

For further information, please refer to the Department of Justice and Equality letter sent to every solicitor whose name is on a current panel maintained by a County Registrar/Office Manager and the notice below:

Queries concerning the Criminal Legal Aid Panel should be directed to the Department of Justice.
