21/03/2022 09:43:38The Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) has published its latest decisions and recommendations from 7 to 21 February.
February employment case law
Cases covered include:
- An unsuccessful attempt to refer a complaint about alleged discrimination by a judge under the Equal Status Act, 2000 (A Complainant v An Employer of a Judge, ADJ-00035826)
- A dispute over the length of service relevant for redundancy where an employee transferred to a new company during her employment (Anne Maher v Johnnies Fish and Chips Limited, ADJ-00033116)
- A successful claim of unfair selection for redundancy where no consultation process took place with staff (Terence Farquharson v A.R.B Underwriting Limited, ADJ-00030122)
