WRC decisions and recommendations
The Workplace Relations Commission has published its latest decisions and recommendations from 26 July 2021 to 18 August 2021.

Employment cases in July and August
The decisions and recommendations include:
- consideration of “reasonable cause” for delay in bringing a claim (Front office receptionist v Regional newspaper, ADJ-00024865),
- deduction from wages following a period of sick leave, successfully defended with reference to a collective agreement (John Joe O'Driscoll v Seahorse Unlimited Company, ADJ-00030151)
- an order that the HSE review the application of Section 16 of the Act Employment Equality Act 1998, with a view to producing guidelines and training for managers and HR in the emergency services, along with an award of €65,000 for discrimination on grounds of disability (Marie O Shea v Health Services Executive, ADJ-00024740)
