The hybrid event marks the International Day of Persons with Disabilities taking place on 3 December 2022, and the first anniversary of the launch of the website of the disAbility Legal Network.

It will explore the impact of the cultural shift towards hybrid working in recent years on the lives of people with disabilities in the legal sector and how hybrid working can promote inclusion within the sector.

The KeyNote Speaker is Joan O'Donnell, author and researcher behind the landmark report by Employers for Change and the Open Doors Initiative from November 2021 entitled 'The future of work and disability - A remote opportunity'.

A panel discussion moderated by Duncan Inverarity, Head of the employment law group at A&L Goodbody LLP, will also include:

  • Dr Patricia McCarthy, Research Fellow in the School of Education, Trinity College Dublin, and
  • Jane Barrett, Associate at William Fry LLP and founder/ChairPerson of the disAbility Legal Network.

Registration

The in-person event will take place at 7.30 am on Tuesday 29 November at the Clayton Hotel, Cardiff Lane, Sir John Rogerson's Quay, Dublin Docklands, Dublin, with a remote event option from 8am.
