Sustainability strides
The Law Society has officially launched the Sustainability Collective.
Driving sustainability

This new initiative is designed to bring together those who are passionate about advancing sustainability within the legal profession and to drive the implementation of the Law Society’s crucial ESG Strategy.
The Sustainability Collective is a cross-functional group of 12 Law Society employees, supported by Antaris Consulting, Ireland’s leading independent sustainability consultancy. Our ambassadors will lead a collaborative platform where ideas, best practices and innovative solutions can be shared and implemented. We are committed to reducing our collective environmental impact.
The collective will focus on initiatives such as:
- ESG awareness and education
- Waste and paper reduction
- Sustainable office practices
- Community engagement
Some of the collective’s projects in the first half of 2026 will include:
- Measurement of the Law Society’s carbon footprint 2025
- Obtaining a sustainability accreditation (Eco Vadis) for the Law Society
- Supporting upcoming ESG-focused initiatives such as the Calcutta Run and Street Law.
