New practice direction relating to criminal appeals
The President of the Court of Appeal has issued Practice Direction CA15 to address written submissions, books of appeal, authorities in criminal appeals and matters relating to case management in the Court of Appeal (Criminal).
It also details key time-limits and the consequences that may result from non-compliance with CA15 generally or directions given in case management.
Effective date
CA15 came into effect on 27 May 2025 and supersedes Practice Direction CA02. For more information. visit the Courts Service website or click on the link below.
