National election

All members of the Law Society are eligible to vote in the national election. Where provided, you can see each candidate’s canvassing literature at the links below.

Leinster provincial election

Members of the Law Society based in Leinster are eligible to vote in the provincial election.

Use your vote

Voting for the election opens on 4 October. Your vote in the Council Election lets you influence the direction and governance of the Law Society over the next 12 months. Voting this year will take place online through the secure online platform. To cast your vote, you will need the following:

• Your username: this is your Law Society solicitor number, which begins with an ‘s’ followed by a four or five-digit number. If you do not know your solicitor number, you can find it on your Practising Certificate or letter of admission or contact the web helpdesk team.

• Your password: this is the password that you use to access lawsociety.ie. If you do not know your password, you can reset it online. If you encounter a problem, or need to update your email address, just contact the web helpdesk team.

• Membership: voting will be open to current members of the Law Society. If you are not sure of your current membership status, contact solicitorservices@lawsociety.ie.
