Law Society Skillnet is conducting a 10-minute survey on digitalisation and the use of AI in practice - from how legal work is delivered and managed today, to how AI tools are being used. The survey is anonymous and confidential: no identifying information is collected, and results are reported in aggregate only.
Run for Council?
In-house solicitors make up over 25% of the profession but are under-represented on Council. If you or a colleague would like to contribute to shaping the future of the profession, nominations open on 24 August for the 2026/27 election. You must hold current membership of the Law Society to participate in the election.

10 September: Well Within the Law Festival
Book now for our annual festival event, taking place in Blackhall Place on Thursday, 10 September. This year’s theme ‘From Resilience to Adaptability: Connecting People, Practice and Purpose’, invites you to step away from the day-to-day and join colleagues from across the profession for an evening of connection, reflection and shared experience. 3 September: Event for lawyers in London
The Law Society is hosting the London Irish Network 2026 on 3 September, bringing together legal professionals based in London who trained or qualified in Ireland. The special guest is comedian Rachel Galvo. Invite your London-based Irish colleagues for an evening of connection, conversation and community!
7 October: In-house Annual Conference
Have you booked your spot? The annual conference for in-house and public sector solicitors and barristers is on “Navigating Regulation in Ireland: Balancing Competition, Innovation and Compliance”. Featuring senior leaders from Coimisiún na Meán, the Data Protection Commission and ComReg, it will focus on technology, AI and communications and take place at the Law Society on 7 October.
