The Conveyancing Committee has published details of further changes to Tailte Éireann practices.

The Land Registry recently agreed with the Conveyancing Committee that it will notify the Committee of changes in Land Registry practice as those changes are published on the Land Registry’s website. The Committee has been notified of changes to Land Registry practice for accepting and retaining grants of representation, and the repayment of fees and re-lodged applications.

Accepting and retaining Grants of Probate

Practitioners are advised by the Land Registry that Grants of Probate and Letters of Administration should now only be submitted with an application for registration. This replaces an earlier practice where the Land Registry would accept, note and return originals in advance of dealings being lodged. The Land Registry will accept Probate Office copies or certified copies of such documents. See this link to the Tailte Éireann website.

Repayment of fees and re-lodged applications

Detailed information is now available for practitioners who wish to use the fees lodged for a rejected application in connection with a re-lodgement of that application. See this link to the Tailte Éireann website
