Calcutta Run sets €350,000 target for charity partners

Calcutta Run returns to an in-person event at the Law Society on 28 May 2022.

Calcutta Run 2022

On Saturday 28 May 2022 the Calcutta Run, the Legal Fundraiser, will welcome legal professionals to walk or run to help fight homelessness in support of partner charities Peter McVerry Trust and The Hope Foundation. The first in-person Calcutta Run since 2019 was launched at an event held at William Fry, Dublin 2 on Thursday 24 March 2022.

Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Calcutta Run has raised over €500,000 for its partner charities Peter McVerry Trust and The Hope Foundation. This year the event has set an ambitious target of €350,000.

Now in its 24th year, the Calcutta Run is operating as a hybrid event with solicitors invited to take part in-person on 28 May or virtually from anywhere in the world, between 21 and 27 May. The Calcutta Run will also host a tag rugby fundraiser taking place on 21 May at the Law Society and the inaugural Calcutta Run golf classic on 27 May.

Invitation to register

Members of the legal profession, their families and friends are invited to register and fundraise together by running or walking the 5km and 10km routes starting and finishing at the Law Society, Blackhall Place via the scenic Phoenix Park. The event promises to be a fun day of reuniting with friends and colleagues in aid of two worthy charities.
