SJS has specialist expertise in providing a broad range of legal services to public sector bodies, local authorities, health authorities, voluntary hospitals, third level educational institutions as well as corporate and private clients.

SJS are currently recruiting a Solicitor for their Litigation and Healthcare team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and progressive law firm and work within a collegial team providing high quality legal services in a fast-paced litigation environment.

The Role

The successful candidate with have the opportunity to handle complex cases involving constitutional rights, often representing clients in High Court applications working both autonomously and under the supervision of a Partner.

They will work closely with key medical personnel taking instructions and providing advice on appropriate Court applications often involving very vulnerable service users.

They will have a good working knowledge of litigation with transferrable skills from previous experience.

They will have a passion for delivering high quality legal services to clients and cultivating excellent relationships with clients. 

Requirements

The ideal candidate should demonstrate some, if not all, of the following attributes:

•           1-5 years post qualification experience in litigation;

•           Experience in healthcare advisory work will be an advantage as well as experience in appearing in Court;

Candidate should be capable of managing a varied workload;

•           Have strong interpersonal & communication skills;

•           A strong work ethic;

•           Dedicated to providing excellence in service to clients;

•           Willingness to travel for Court work; and

•           Full clean driver’s licence.
