Job description:

Everyday Finance DAC are looking to recruit an experienced Paralegal with direct experience in managing cases within the legal process. This role is a permanent full time position based in Galway. You will be reporting to a Senior Legal Manager within the legal team. The successful candidate will have direct responsibility for overseeing a legal recovery strategy within the Everyday business.

The role will be based in Galway and the candidate will work alongside the Legal Team to produce reports to the wider Everyday senior management team. . This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to play a key role in the Everyday business and review and enhance the legal framework that covers the following areas;


  • Driving and managing all aspects of the litigation process to ensure the successful outcome of litigation cases;
  • Expertise and knowledge in judgement proceedings in the High Court and Circuit Court;
  • Liaise with external panel of solicitors to discuss problem cases and effectively managing relationships with various outsourced third parties;
  • Developing, monitoring and reporting of litigation metrics on a weekly basis;
  • Developing adequate measurement tools to track and ensure targets are being met;
  • Presenting to senior management on litigation cases on a regular basis;
  • Review and approve cases prior to issuing proceedings ensuring adequate loan documentation;
  • Track and analyse all on-going legal costs against allocated budgets and monitor all fees with external firms against the Servicing Agreements;
  • Providing input for improvements, standardisation and streamlining of current litigation practices and systems. Ensuring these changes are successfully implemented within the team;
  • Assisting in all projects relating to litigation;
  • Connection level case management;
  • Credit analysis, decision making, credit submissions and decision implementation;
  • Proactive management of customers in line with agreed exit strategy at loan level, including litigation;
  • Action CRM system appropriately to ensure accounts are at the correct status;
  • Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate.

Key requirements:

  • Litigation management, MI and reporting skills;
  • 5 years' minimum experience in debt management, restructuring or workout;
  • Legal background desirable and legal qualification desirable;
  • Relationship management experience essential;
  • Confidence to assume responsibility and initiative;
  • Proven experience of managing litigation in a demanding legal and collections environment, in accordance with the requirements of the CPC, SME and Code of Conduct on Mortgage Arrears;
  • Up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and their current implementation;
  • Proven ability to implement and manage processes;
  • APA or QFA or similar qualification is desirable;
  • Excellent analytical skills and reporting skills;
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills(vlookups, pivot tables, dashboards, data manipulation);
  • Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint skills (presentation of financial results to clients / board of directors);
  • Excellent time management, prioritisation and organisation skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
