Beauchamps are currently seeking to recruit a Financial Controller to join their business services team, reporting to the Director of Finance and Administration. The position will involve a broad range of responsibilities including:
Key responsibilities:
• Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations in a fast-paced professional services environment;
• Ensure adherence to Solicitors Accounts Regulations, Law Society guidelines and best practice in the profession;
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and procedures;
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards;
• Preparation of monthly management accounts and other management information;
• Working capital management;
• Treasury management;
• Liaise with external auditors;
• Development of financial controls and documentation of policies and procedures;
• Play a key role in the development of the practice management system;
• Work closely with other business support functions;
Key skills:
• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• Advanced Microsoft 365 skills, especially Excel;
• Commercially astute; Qualifications and experience:
• A qualified accountant and member of a recognised accountancy body with 2-3 years PQE;
• Previous experience in a professional services environment would be advantageous but not essential;
• Previous experience with systems implementation desirable;
