Beauchamps are currently seeking to recruit a Financial Controller to join their business services team, reporting to the Director of Finance and Administration. The position will involve a broad range of responsibilities including:

Key responsibilities:

        Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations in a fast-paced professional services environment;

        Ensure adherence to Solicitors Accounts Regulations, Law Society guidelines and best practice in the profession;

        Ensure adherence to internal controls and procedures;

        Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards;

        Preparation of monthly management accounts and other management information;

        Working capital management;

        Treasury management;

        Liaise with external auditors;

        Development of financial controls and documentation of policies and procedures;

        Play a key role in the development of the practice management system;

        Work closely with other business support functions;

Key skills:

        Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills;

        Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;  

        Advanced Microsoft 365 skills, especially Excel;

        Commercially astute; Qualifications and experience:

        A qualified accountant and member of a recognised accountancy body with 2-3 years PQE;

        Previous experience in a professional services environment would be advantageous but not essential;

        Previous experience with systems implementation desirable;
