Using the Law Society CV Register

Every job seeker should endeavour to stand apart from the crowd. One way of doing this is to identify an appropriate platform for publicising what you have to offer.

Yes, you can take a passive approach and just pursue advertised jobs. However, the creative job seeker is pro-active and seeks to set themselves apart. One way of differentiating yourself is to upload your CV online – on a platform that legal employers consult with.

A great way to take this kind of pro-active approach is to utilise the Law Society’s online CV Register – a really useful facility for solicitors seeking employment.

This facility on the Law Society website allows you to upload your CV, complete your jobseeker profile, including a cover letter, and activate it so that your details can be viewed by employers. You can tick the box to get an email reminder to stay active on the register every month or log in to deactivate it at any time.

Options

You can upload and save multiple copies of your CV to your CV Register profile. This means that you have a choice of CVs to use or to apply for jobs with on www.legalvacancies.ie - if you want.

Only solicitors who have logged into the website can view the uploaded CVs within the CV Register. So, if you would like to increase your visibility, upload your CV and activate your jobseeker profile today and increase the opportunity of being noticed by employers who are hiring.
