New partners at Simmons & Simmons Dublin office

Two lawyers have been promoted to partner at the Simmons & Simmons Dublin office.

Derek Lawlor and James McKnight are among 13 promotions across eight offices in Europe and Asia.

Both had been working as managing associates in the firm's financial services regulation practice.

Exceptional times

Senior partner Colin Passmore said the new partners, 40% of whom are female, had "come through in exceptional times".

"The last year has been a time of unprecedented upheaval for our clients and this cohort of lawyers have been rightly recognised for their resilience and creativity in delivering smart solutions to new and complex challenges.

“Together, they demonstrate that our future is in very good hands," he said.

Simmons & Simmons expanded into Dublin in 2018 as part of a post-Brexit wave.
