Sharp rise in summer internship applications
Maples and Calder LLP saw an increase of 137% this year on the number of 2020 applications for the firm's professional internship programme.
There was interest from 837 applicants, up from 353 last year, with a much higher increase in applications from universities outside of Dublin.
Maples Group is extending the length of the 2021 training period from three to four weeks.
