The EU is to issue a travel certificate to enable freedom of movement for those vaccinated against the coronavirus, in a bid to revive the tourism and leisure industries.
The cert will provide information to let travellers cross borders freely again after a year of travel restrictions.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said the cert will show whether the person has either been vaccinated, or has had a recent negative test, or has recovered from Covid, and thus has antibodies.
"With this digital certificate we aim to help member states reinstate the freedom of movement in a safe, responsible and trusted manner," she said.
