Orla Crowe SC to be a judge of Circuit Court

Senior counsel Orla Crowe has been named as a judge of the Circuit Court.

The vacancy arises following the recent retirement of Judge Jacqueline Linnane.

Orla Crowe has a BCL degree from UCD (1988) and a Barrister-at-Law degree from the King’s Inns (1990).

She was appointed junior counsel in 1990 and senior counsel in 2016.

Lecturer

Orla Crowe is also a board member with Irish Rule of Law international, a member of the State Criminal Bar Committee of the Bar Council, and a member of the Vulnerable Witnesses Training Sub-Committee.

She also lectured in constitutional law at the King’s Inns from 1998 to 2001.
