Dublin Circuit Court County Registrar lists

The Dublin Circuit Court has issued its list for cases to be heard at Court 27 on 20 October, at Aras Ui Dhalaigh, Four Courts, Dublin 7.

The cases will be heard in fifteen-minutes batches.

Paperwork

For the moment, applications for the appointment of care representatives and applications for marriage exemptions will continue to be ruled without the parties being present in court, if paperwork is in order.

Steps have been taken for the listing for hearing of taxation of costs and landlord and tenant (ground rent) applications and the notice published on 24 June remains in place.

Matters will not be listed for hearing without compliance with that notice even if dates have been assigned. Taking of Foreign Evidence hearings will continue as normal.

Civil Motions will be listed for hearing in staggered hearing lists, as with those undertaken in July.

To comply with social distancing requirements, practitioners should only attend court at their scheduled time.

Public health

The hearings will take place in line with public health and Courts Service guidelines, which include specific arrangements for Civil Motions.

Possession Civil Bill lists have been adjourned since 19 March.

Any party now wishing to have an affected Possession Civil Bill listed for hearing must complete a questionnaire and submit it, with a complete indexed and paginated book of pleadings and proceedings, and a letter to the other party setting out that a date for hearing is being sought.

Once the completed questionnaire and book of documents is received the Civil Bill will be relisted for the next available Thursday.

The party applying for the hearing date will be notified and that party must notify the other party in writing of the return date not later than 10 days prior to the hearing date.

Adjourned

All other Possession Civil Bills will stand adjourned to Hilary Term 2021.

Family law motion lists and lists to fix dates will continue and practitioners are asked to watch the Courts Service website www.courts.ie for further updates, including the relisting, and fixing dates for adjourned matters.
