Two gongs for McCann Fitz at litigation awards

McCann FitzGerald has won two awards at the Benchmark Litigation Europe Awards this week, including the Irish Dispute Resolution Firm of the Year title.

Partner Seán Barton (small picture) was also recognised as ‘Dispute Resolution Lawyer of the Year’.

Seán has been with the firm for nearly 30 years and has advised on many substantial domestic and international commercial disputes. He has also been involved in several expert groups on legal and procedural reform, including reviewing the implementation of EU measures in Irish-court practice.

Achievement

Managing partner Barry Devereux said: “This is a fantastic achievement for the firm, and for Seán individually, and is evidence of our market-leading, dispute-resolution practice.

We remain focused on securing successful outcomes for our clients, despite the current challenges of COVID-19. These awards showcase not only the talent of our people, but the complexity of the work we are doing and the results we are achieving for clients.”

Dispute resolution

Benchmark Litigation has been covering the United States’ disputes market since 2008, expanding into Asia, Canada, Latin America and, since 2018, Europe.

It recognises leading law firms and lawyers active in dispute resolution through its annual rankings and awards.
