Solicitor new president of directors’ group

Imelda Reynolds, chair of commercial-law firm Beauchamps LLP, has been named as president of the Institute of Directors in Ireland (IoD) after its annual general meeting.

She will serve a two-year term, succeeding Harry Lorton. Ms Reynolds (pictured) is a practising solicitor and was previously managing partner at Beauchamps.

Good governance

She is also an elected members of the Law Society Council and is chair of the Society’s Regulation of Practice Committee.

"The importance of good governance in business and the requirement for directors in upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism in undertaking their role has never been more important,” she said.
