Solicitor named for board of Treatment Purchase Fund

Solicitor and regulation expert Martin Sisk has been appointed to the board of the National Treatment Purchase Fund (NTPF).

The body works with public hospitals to fund treatment for patients on waiting lists.

Health minister Stephen Donnelly appointed Mr Sisk for a two-year term, running until 27 February 2023, after a public appointments process.

UCD graduate

A graduate of University College Dublin, Sisk qualified as a solicitor in 1979. He worked for five years in the Office of the Revenue Solicitors.

Sisk held senior roles in the Central Bank and has also served as chair of VHI Healthcare, and as a board member of the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA).
