Property authority starts to scale up services

The Property Registration Authority (PRA) says it is gradually scaling up its operations as it implements a plan to deal with the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on its operations.

In an update published on its website, the authority said it would continue to adhere to Government and public health advice and all of its working arrangements were subject to ongoing review.

Processing

The PRA says there will be a reduced level of processing for Land Registry applications, which will be dealt with in order of priority. It will, however, consider speeding up urgent applications on a case by case basis.

Its landdirect and eRegistration services continue to operate as normal and it has resumed issuing copy folios and maps.

Registry of Deeds registrations have restarted, while the authority will also process expedite requests for official searches and copy memorials.
