Probate Office explains new online system

The Probate Office has announced changes to the process for obtaining Grants of Probate and Letters of Administration.

From September, solicitors and personal applicants will be able to submit their Revenue affidavits online.

Affidavit

They will be able to log in to ROS or myAccount on the Revenue website to complete and submit a new online version of the Inland Revenue Affidavit called the Statement of Affairs (Probate) Form SA.2.

Revenue will then automatically send an acknowledgement document called a Notice of Acknowledgement (Probate). This must be printed and submitted to the Probate Office.

Once the online form goes live, the Probate Office will accept only new applications that include Revenue’s acknowledgment document.
