Online seminar on judicial education and training

An online seminar entitled ‘Judicial Education and Training in Twenty-First Century Ireland: European and International Perspectives’ will take place on Friday 17 September.

The event will run from 10am – 5pm and is beingly organised by:

  • Irish Council for Civil Liberties (ICCL),
  • Whitaker Institute and School of Law, National University of Ireland Galway (NUI Galway),
  • School of Law, University of Limerick (UL).

Trauma-informed judging

Topics will include:

  • Judicial education and training in Ireland,
  • Judicial skills and judge craft,
  • Developing judicial skills in Ireland,
  • Trauma-informed judging,
  • Vulnerable persons in court.
