May date for family law conference

The Family Lawyers’ Association of Ireland (FLAI) is holding its national conference on Monday, 13 May, at the Mullingar Park Hotel in Co Westmeath, centrally located for practitioners from all over Ireland.
 
The one-day event features the following speakers:

Senior counsel Dervla Browne on debt and insolvency in family law cases,

Senior counsel Paul McCarthy on discovery and disclosure in family law,

Simon McDonald BL on recent developments in the field,

Mark O’Riordan BL on recent developments in succession law,

Solicitor Joan O’Mahony on the Domestic Violence Act 2018,

Actuary Olga Daly on pension adjustment orders,

Solicitor Geoffrey Shannon on child law in Ireland (pictured), and

Life coach Sheelagh Mulcair.

The day-long event will yield sevn CPD points.

Early bird cost, including lunch, is €60 to FLAI members, if paid by Wednesday, 1 May. Early booking is advisable.
