LK Shields partners with McVerry Trust

LK Shields has launched a partnership with homelessness charity, the Peter McVerry Trust.

The charity worked with over 5,800 people in 2018, offering pathways out of homelessness to support those on the margins of Irish society.

Over the coming months, LK Shields will work closely with the charity to increase awareness of homelessness in Ireland and to raise vital funds.

The move is part of LK Shields’ ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility strategy, guided by the principles of access, inclusion and opportunity. The strategy focuses on homelessness, disadvantaged young people and the environment.

Access

Managing partner Emmet Scully, said: “Central to our firms’ values are the ideas of access and opportunity and we believe these values firmly align with the ethos of the Peter McVerry Trust.

“My colleagues and I look forward to organising and participating in numerous fundraising and volunteering events over the next 12 months."

Pat Doyle of the Trust said “Partnerships such as this enable us to provide long-term solutions through a housing-led response to homelessness.”
