Law firm’s string of sporting sponsorships

Belfast firm Millar McCall Wylie has announced the latest in a string of cross-community sporting sponsorships for the firm.

Annadale Hockey Club has been chosen for financial backing, along with GAA, soccer, hockey, rugby, and equestrian talent across all age groups.

Dungoyne Football Club, Bredagh GAC, Bangor Rugby and Cricket Club, Rosario YFC, CIYMS Youth Cricket, Queens Basketball and Antrim GAA are all supported by the law firm.

The firm also recently confirmed its ongoing commitment to the Ulster Rugby Millar McCall Wylie Junior Cup for another two years and the Under 10s Show Jumping Championship at the Balmoral Show 2020.

Partner Jan Cunningham is an ex-Ulster Rugby player.

Grassroots

He said “Millar McCall Wylie is a proud supporter of Northern Irish sport from grassroots through to the elite.

“As well as legally advising well-known sporting associations locally, we are really thrilled to offer our sponsorship at a range of levels and also dedicate our time to local community organisations across many sports throughout the year.

Commitment

“Both as a firm and as individuals we understand the social, economic and cultural value of sport to a community, the commitment and dedication it requires, and we want to encourage that in any way possible.”

Millar McCall Wylie also work in an advisory capacity with sporting organisations both within the professional and amateur sectors and regularly advises on issues such as image rights, sponsorship rights, governance and constitutional issues.

The 21-year old firm also has expertise in the area of sports dispute resolution, especially mediation which is increasingly the procedure of choice for athletes, governing bodies, clubs and funding organisations.
