Irish Supreme Court cases for conference discussion

The Irish Supreme Court Review (ISCR), hosted by the School of Law, Trinity College Dublin, and sponsored by Pinsent Masons, is a forum for in-depth analysis of the functions and jurisprudence of the Supreme Court of Ireland.

The second annual ISCR conference will be held on Saturday 12 October 2019 in Trinity College Dublin.

The papers at the conference will consider major themes in the work of the Supreme Court and its leading cases in the past legal year.

The proceedings of the 2018 conference were published as the first annual ISCR journal by Clarus Press on behalf of the School of Law, Trinity College Dublin. Copies will be available for purchase at the conference.

The proceedings of this year’s conference will be published by Clarus Press early next year.

Speakers include Professor Imelda Maher, Dean of Sutherland School of Law at UCD; Mark Bell, Regius Professor of Laws, Trinity College; Mark Coen, Sutherland Law School, UCD; Justice Mary Finlay Geoghegan, Supreme Court (retired); Liz Heffernan, Associate Professor of Law, Trinity College; Noel McGrath, Sutherland Law School, UCD and senior counsel Brian Murray.

Chair for the event is Ms Justice Iseult O’Malley of the Supreme Court.

All are welcome to attend. The fee (inclusive of materials, tea  and coffee breaks, and light lunch) is €35, or €15 (concession for students, pensioners and the unwaged) and  registration is essential.
