High-fliers jet in to deliver  aviation finance lecture

Two high-flying aviation financiers jetted into Dublin yesterday to address Diploma Centre students at Blackhall Place.

Jeffrey Veber (Vedder Price, New York) and David Fiore (Ex-Im Bank US, Washington DC) delivered lectures on the aviation finance module.

They examined export credit agencies and the US Import-Export Bank – the official export credit agency (ECA) of the federal government.

The Law Society Diploma in Aviation Leasing and Finance Law has been running since 2014, and is now in its sixth year.

Demand remains high for the prestigious course, as Ireland is internationally recognised as the global hub for aviation leasing and finance.

The diploma has attracted students from all over Europe, and from Bahrain, Hong Kong, India, Mexico, Russia, Singapore, UAE, and USA.  .

The course focuses on the core legal issues of aviation leasing and finance transactions, together with key aspects, such as aviation regulation, taxation, insurance and repossession.

The teaching faculty is drawn from leading law firms specialising in aviation and aircraft-leasing companies.

The diploma recently won ‘Postgraduate Course of the Year’ at the Grad Ireland Awards.

The Certificate in Aviation Leasing and Finance Law will run again in autumn 2019 and the Diploma course will be offered again in January 2020.
