Guidance on electronic filing of appeal papers

The Court of Appeal has issued a notice stating that it hopes to be in a position to hear appeals remotely this term.

Mr Justice Birmingham, President of the Court of Appeal, has also issued an eFiling information notice

Electronic filing

This sets out guidance and recommendations for the electronic filing of appeal papers and for the preparation and delivery of electronic books of appeal in that Court, particularly for the hearing of appeals remotely during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The President of the High Court Mr Justice Peter Kelly has announced that the arrangements recently introduced for the conduct of court business in the High Court in response to Covid-19 will remain the same for the first two weeks of Easter Term.

The High Court hopes to pilot remote hearings from Monday, 27 April, for suitable cases.
