GOAL general counsel Alison Mitchell has been named on the prestigious Legal 500 GC Powerlist: Ireland 2019.
The lawyer at humanitarian aid agency GOAL makes the list of senior in-house legal counsels who have made a significant impact.
The parameters for selections include innovation, advisory excellence, and advancing innovative work practices and models.
Dublin-based Alison Mitchell, who competed against the public sector, technology, life sciences, and financial services, joined GOAL in November 2015.
“It’s great to see the hard work of friends and colleagues representing a diverse range of industries that includes non-profit, tech, commercial and banking sectors being recognised by The Legal 500. Thanks to all my colleagues at GOAL for their continued support and dedication to such worthy humanitarian causes.’’
GOAL chief Siobhan Walsh said the inclusion is a reflection of the calibre of people on the senior leadership team.
“Alison is highly respected by her colleagues within GOAL and I’m delighted that she is now recognised in this public capacity by the wider legal community. Alison has played a vital role in our development and we are very proud of her.”
Previously, Alison was general counsel with Calor Gas Ireland and also a corporate associate with Maples & Calder and Matheson.
The Legal 500 GC Powerlist is compiled from the gathered opinions from law firm partners in-house counsel and corporate counsel instrumental in changing or forming opinions within their company or industry.
