FLAC will celebrate 50 years in existence on Friday 8 November, at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Golden Lane, Dublin 8.

This year’s Dave Ellis memorial evening takes a different format, with a panel discussion examining FLAC through the decades, following a welcome address by chief executive Eilis Barry at 7.50pm.

Speakers Karen Banks, Noeline Blackwell, David Byrne, Eamonn Conlon, Mel Cousins,  Grainne O’Hara, Ms Justice Iseult O’Malley, Siobhan Phelan SC, Walter Walsh and Gerry Whyte will examine the FLAC legacy, with the discussion chaired by  Peter Ward SC.

At 9pm, former President of Ireland Mary Robinson will be in conversation with journalist Doireann Ní Bhriain.

The event is now fully booked, with a waiting list in operation for those who would like to attend.
