Experts speak on risky miracle of childbirth

‘The Risky Miracle of Childbirth’ is the theme for a medico-legal seminar organised by Callan Tansey solicitors next month.

Taking place on International Women’s day on 8 March from 2pm to 5pm in the Galmont Hotel and Spa in Galway, the seminar will hear from experts in the fields of obstetrics, midwifery and medical negligence litigation.

Speakers include Roger Murray (Callan Tansey’s joint managing partner), Dr John O’Mahony (leading medical negligence senior counsel), Prof Valerie Smith (midwifery professor, TCD), Dr Charles O’Mahony (head of NUI Galway School of Law), and Mr Patrick B Forbes (consultant obstetrician).

Labour management

The seminar will address the management of labour and delivery, as well as changes to the legal system to make litigation less adversarial and time-consuming.

The seminar costs €75 and qualifies for three CPD points. Limited places are available. For more information, contact caroline@carriedawaypr.ie, call 087 448 2070, or book on Eventbrite.
