Eversheds names company secretarial head

Eversheds Sutherland has named Liam Boyle as head of its company secretarial team in Ireland.

This news follows a period of recent accelerated growth across the firm’s corporate, commercial, and financial-services divisions.

In recent years, Mr Boyle has advised several high-profile international clients on establishing operations in Ireland, and on navigating the Irish legal and regulatory landscape.

Before joining Eversheds Sutherland from a Dublin corporate law firm, Boyle also worked in two leading global corporate services providers, and in one of the ‘big four’ auditing firms.

Governance

He is a chartered secretary and corporate governance professional, and an associate of the Chartered Governance Institute (ACG).

He is also a Licentiate of the Association of Compliance Officers of Ireland (LCOI), a Licentiate of the Institute of Banking (LIB), an Accredited Funds Professional, and a Certified Financial Crime Prevention Practitioner (CFCPP).

Managing partner Alan Connell said: “With his breadth and depth of expertise, dedication and technical advisory skills, Liam is well placed to help us not only meet, but indeed stay ahead of, the needs of our domestic and international client base.
