The Dáil Éireann Joint Committee on Justice and Equality will convene tomorrow at 9am in committee room 2 at Leinster House to hear submissions on the topic of rights and equality in the context of Brexit.

The committee will hear from Professor Colin Harvey of Queen’s University in Belfast, and speakers from Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission as well as the Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission.

Committee role

The committee shadows the Department of Justice and Equality and considers policy in the fields of justice, security, the rule of law and equality to ensure that Irish society is safe, secure, just, open-minded and impartial.
