Justice budget carve-up to be revealed

Justice Minister Charlie Flanagan is to reveal his departmental budget plans for the year ahead tomorrow at Government Buildings.

Speaking at 9.30am tomorrow, the minister and his officials will disclose spending plans for the justice and equality sector in 2019.

Last year, the minister announced funding to recruit a further 800 gardaí and a €100 million increase in current expenditure.

An additional €157 million was secured for the justice sector following the mid-term review of the Government's Capital Plan 2016-2021.
