Brightflag legal ops director moves to Johnson Hana

Legal outsourcing firm Johnson Hana has named Sinead Garnett as its director of legal operations and solutions.

Sinead Garnett trained and practised as a corporate associate solicitor at Maples Group before moving into legal technology.

She has served as director of legal operations at Brightflag, founded by Alex Kelly.

Johnson Hana founder Dan Fox said: “We couldn’t be happier to have Sinead join us at this pivotal point of the company’s growth.

Discipline

“Legal operations as a discipline can bring such incredible value to legal departments of all shapes and sizes.

“Be it the strategic prioritisation of work, resource management or technology deployment, there are huge opportunities to transform legal operations for the better.”

Managing director of legal solutions Emer Durkan said: “Sinead’s experience, with a decade in private practice as well as working for a legal technology company, positions her perfectly to contribute in a meaningful way to our client offerings.

“She knows what our clients are looking for, and will be able to help us to build the services they need. Put simply, she understands. And that’s why we’re so delighted she is joining Johnson Hana.”

Sinead Garnett added that there has been rapid growth of alternative legal solutions in the US and UK.

“To be at the forefront of that in Ireland is fantastic.”
