Upgrades to affect Four Courts sittings

The Courts Service has advised practitioners and court users of upgrades to the Gandon Building in the Four Courts that will lead to the relocation of some courtrooms.

The Office of Public Works (OPW) has started the upgrades, which include major refurbishment works to the accessible toilet facility and the adjacent male toilets on the ground floor of the building.

Due to noise disruption from the works, the following courtrooms have been relocated:

  • High Court urgent vacation sittings in Court 6 are taking place in Court 1 from 20 August and during September,
  • Dublin Metropolitan District Court Civil sittings in Court 23 are taking place in Court 27 (2nd floor, Gandon Building) for the month of September, and
  • Court 7 business is relocating to Court 10.

Other temporary court relocations will be updated by notices on the courtroom doors or on courts.ie.
