Two Arthur Cox partners to lead in London
Law firm Arthur Cox has appointed Amy McDermott and Christopher O’Reilly to lead its London office from 1 September.
They succeed Conor McCarthy, a partner in the firm’s corporate and M&A (mergers and acquisitions) group, who returns to Dublin after leading the London office since 2022.
Arthur Cox says that McCarthy played “an important role” in strengthening its presence in London.
McDermott is also a partner in the corporate and M&A group and advises financial investors and public and private companies on corporate deals across a range of industries.
‘Highly regarded lawyers’
O’Reilly is a partner in Arthur Cox’s asset-management and investment-funds group, advising investment managers, service providers, and investors on all aspects of Irish fund law, regulation, and governance.
Geoff Moore (managing partner) described the London office as “an important part of our international business” that played a key role in supporting its clients on complex international matters.
“Amy and Christopher are highly regarded lawyers whose expertise, strong client relationships, and international experience make them ideally placed to lead the office’s continued development,” he added.
