DSBA webinar on AML and cybersecurity

The Dublin Solicitors Bar Association (DSBA) is organising a webinar later this month covering cybersecurity, anti-money-laundering (AML), and risk management.

The conference takes place on Tuesday 26 May (2-5pm).

Attendance yields three CPD hours for client care and professional standards – including one hour for accounting and AML compliance.

The speakers are:

  • Rory O’Neill (financial controller of the Law Society’s Compensation Fund) will provide an update on cybersecurity,
  • Simon Treanor (financial-regulation executive, Law Society, small picture) will speak on essential AML considerations,
  • Anne Brady (chartered accountant, Capstone Business Advisors) will discuss the financial case for acquiring or exiting a practice, and
  • Julie Brennan and Kate Ashmore (Legal Quality Standard of Ireland) will speak on legal-compliance essentials – ‘Reducing risk, protecting your practice’.
